Only one problem: Unlike radar, Lidar (laser) is a very narrow beam. LEO's are trained to aim the laser either at the front license plate, or a headlight bucket. With a laser shifter positioned in the vehicle's windshield, you risk never even detecting it. This is why Lidatek (laser jammer) recommends mounting one, better yet two, transponders in the front of the car near the plate/headlights.

And yes they really do work. I've been lasered several times, twice going way over the speed limit and the LEO's facial expression is priceless!

the 9500 "ci" "custom installation" has 2 front laser shifters instructed to be installed in the front of the car, just like the lidatek ...but in the RS4 you have to cut away some of the honeycomb to make it fit well, well worth it!

Thanks for the info, didn't know that. Sounds very nice! With Lidatek down and out, good to know we have choices.

And has anyone been laser targeted by a cop in a MOVING car?
Only real question is where to mount this stuff in the RS4 without hacking up the nice front grill.
