Default audio and visually? don't think so.

for example, if there are 2 K sources and 3 Ka sources, I see a K with 2 bars next to it (height of the bars indicating strength of the source) and a Ka with 3 bars next to it. K, X, Ka, and laser all have distinct audio tones as well, so you don't even have to look at the display when you hear the X tone.

Default Differences are negligible in testing

When you look at the latest Guys of Lidar tests

V1
Bel STi Driver
Bel RX65
Escort 8500 X50

All have exceptional range. Sti Driver runs neck and neck with V1 in all tests. In some it tests slightly better, in others slightly worse.

Does V1 have audible voice alert? Voice alert on the STi, multiple threat display, and "true stealth" capability in Virginia sold me.

http://www.guysoflidar.com/radar-detector-test-fall-2006/radar-detector-test.html</a

Default V1 tells the band & direction of the most significant threat, plus the total number of bogies

Someone please explain the value or scenario of knowing the band for every bogie if you don't know their direction.

Default Someone or something must've really pissed that cop off

3 over in a 70 zone doesn't make any sense. There's gotta be more to it.

Mostly good advice when pulled over...

Default Direction is not an issue for me.

If the detector goes off, I slow, no matter what. With the Bel STi Driver, I watch and listen to see if the signal strength goes up or down. How hard is that? I get multiple threat indications with multiple signal strengths on my box.

The only ticket I have had in 5 years with either the STi, or the Escort 8500, was in MA. There I was stopped by a state boy in an SUV that pulled up behind and paced me. No radar. No lidar.
