I would expect this arrogant rhetoric on the "M" boards, but RS?

Default Yes, and there a bunch of B5 S4 owners who bought various B5 RS4 body upgrades.

Doesn't make them posers unless they put a false badge on it, IMO. Nobody has ever come up to me and said "Nice RS4" because I have replica wheels. Most people who know what an RS4 is can see the differences easily.

What if I swapped in an RS4 engine, but did nothing else, would that make me a poser? LOL.

BTW, I would have bought an RS4, but it didn't exist when I bought my car. Someday I'll decide to get a new one. Maybe it will be an RS4, or maybe not.

Default There was nohing arrogant about the original post. It was me wanting to get in my car and drive.

It's blown up because someone bought RS4 replica rims and got offended. That was not intentional. Although I do think putting replica rims on a car is kind of cheesy, that was not the purpose of the post.

Default This is one of those threads that everytime you post, you dig deeper

into a bottomless hole.

I do think he was trying to say he loved his car, I get that.

There are many sensitive S4 owners get that too.

At the end of the day its a car, nothing more or less.

Having owned (still do) 12 BMWs and been on many of the boards I have seen this for years....internet translation does not always work.

Agreed. All valid points. I could have been a litle more clear in my original post.

Implying what? I'd be impressed with a 997? You gotta be kidding.
