What date did you purchase the car? Can you still return it?

I have had the car 3 weeks. I received the car on a Saturday early evening and told them about it Monday, since they were closed on Sunday. I didn't make too much of a fuss since they told me not to worry about it - they'd fix it (sales guy). Management stepped in and said no to the fix. Now Audi USA is involved to mediate a solution.

Default Are you in the NYC area by any chance? I know someone who fixes scratches

for a living. Dealers hire him to fix minor scratches on used cars.

Default true on that but all else fails wet sanding could work, i agree some scratch

remover to 3m hd buffing liquid could work, but the mark will show as wax wears off and when you rewax it will fill the mark and hide it, if i could see it in person it would be nice

Default Re: Scratch on Passenger Door

Update: I made an appt at Jeff's Auto Body in Austin, TX next Tues. From my research they are one of the two top rated shops in the area. They think they can make it look better than it does now with the appropriate polishing/buffing, etc... I'll see how it comes out, then decide to go with it or have them paint. They seemed to think that if I wanted them to fix and paint that they could contain it to the lower door. I'll post a pic after they work on it Tues.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts & advice.

BTW - I have now visited arguably the two best shops in town. Both were very impressed with the car. Phantom, Ti, 3M tint, clear bra. Even in Austin there are not that many around.

I am also supposed to hear from my dealer tonight...

Default Sounds good....keep us posted

I know how frustrating it is to get a new car, such a great one, and then have something immediately wrong with it! Keep us posted on developments.
