Hey, I'm interested in getting a short shifter for my '07 RS4. Any input?

something like super short(40%) and just short(30%), if I'm remembering correctly.

I'm set to super short I really like it, shifts are quick and very short, but not as smooth as stock.

I was used to it b/c it was on my B6 S4 for 2 years, so putting it in the RS4 wasn't really a change for me.

I think it is a great mod, if you don't mind losing some of the stock smoothness.

I was afraid you were gonna say that (about the smoothness)...Are you in California?...I have Phantom with white interior and aluminum trim. Although I love carbon fiber, I have to say I'm getting used to the aluminum.

I'm in NY, but there are many people in CA with the SS in B6/B7 S4's.

I put the Strat SS in my S4 and it was a huge improvement - not only shorter, but more positive. I find the stock shifter in the RS4 MUCH better than the stock one in the S4. Making the move from S4 w/SS to RS4 w/stock, I find the shifts to be slightly longer, but much smoother. All things considedred, I am very happy w/ the stock RS4 shifter and am leaving it as is for now.
