Definitely sucks...
I kinda like the Volks as well. Not sure about the color but the extra visual weight I think is necessary for our style of cars. You've got it narrowed down to some nice options.
I had the GY Eagle F1 GS D3 and will be going with the PS2s next. I am hoping the XL 95Y will help with some of these wonderful Texas roads.

My buddy's '07 G35 S came with them and they are amazing. Also, his car is large and he runs it
around "briskly" when taking turns. Those tires have never left me short of impressed in both dry and wet conditions. There's no discernible difference between driving in wet and driving in dry. They are definitely worth it and I don't think the lower load rating will have much of an effect.
