UPDATE: Roll cage status...
Remember the cut outs from the last time.

Well here's what we did in that space. We welded a 1/8" thick steel plate so that the down brace could be welded on to them.

Rear main hoop and its attachment point on the floor just ahead of the rear seat position. Another 1/8" thick steel plate was used to secure it to the chassis.

Side shot of the forward part of the main hoop. Notice Audi's own internal cross side brace (shiny black) that sits within the dash area. It is a rectangular box that makes the total width of the car and it is very solid. No wonder these cars are safe.

I'm hoping not more then 120 lbs but that depends on how much I build in to the cage. My goal...
Is a sub 3000 lbs car finished but my real wish is 2900 lbs finished.

Basically the same. In the sig I have my black SSR Comps (track use) where as on the street...
I use a set of silver BBS RCs. Since this summer I have a custom made FMIC instead of the DSMICs so the FMIC would show up in the pictures now.
Take a look at these two pictures. They were taken exactly a week prior to the ACNA Infineon event.
One of them with the SSR Comps with Kumho V710s (245/45/17) and one of them with my other track wheels, a set of BBS RCs with Toyo RA1s (235/40/17).
