that thing read like an 'ode to the vaunted valet. Here's how to soothe and massage them just right so they won't screw you. What for They get my middle finger most of ther time. I rate them just above skateboarders.

the Alfa, I was warned that reverse gear was straight cut with no synchro, and so if the gearbox would not go into reverse, simply go forward a fraction of an inch, and it will then engage reverse. I handed it off to a fellow with this warning, along with showing him the window switch location and hand brake. I picked up the car and did not think to check reverse. The next time I reversed the car, there was this wha-wha-wha sound of chipped gearbox teeth. Since then, never again.
