What is a good target price for a CPO.... details inside....
2007 RS4, 8k, Premium pack, CPO, excellent condition, from a dealer..... any comments on a good target price?
The prices on a used RS4 seem quite soft right now.... I just don;t have a good sense of how desperate dealers are to unload them.
thanks

Already done that... it seems most are asking very close to 60k...
High 40s seems like a big drop, I can see dealers typically being pushed down 10% to mid-50s.... I was curious if anybody had experience with getting such a big dealer reduction (>20%) on RS4s currently

at those prices, they're not moving
I had mine listed on cars.com for $57k (this summer for 2-3 months). But, that included $8k of aftermarket goodies (see sig). I figured those extras were worth 50% or $4k. So, a stock comparison @ 25k miles would sell for ~ $53k.
I had only one interested party, and the deal fell through.
Now, with the financial crisis, it's highly unlikely that one could sell a RS4 in the 50s. Perhaps the low mileage and CPO pushes you up in the range, but it's unlikely, IMO.

i think it's got to be in the $40's now...
some new ones are being offered at or below $60k and if you look at 'real' sellers they are at or below $50k for used ones. heard of one transaction at $44k for a mint 07 with 20k miles...if that is representative of where things are now, with fewer miles and cpo i think you are in the high $40's...but that's it. i think you can't worry about where things are offered now because many prices are very stale. it feels like the entire used car market just dropped about 20% in the past 2 months...everything is impacted.

My recent experience...
8.5k miles
no options
Imola
2.8 yrs base warranty
2 yrs/50k miles CPO
from dealer
48k$
bought last month...no regrets to date...other than minor nits...
-e-brake/armrest interference
-seat warmer controls...rather have self-cancelling buttons than rotory dials...
-resting knee of throttle leg on center consol, better padding/softer
