What would you choose, RS4 or E63? (I know, apples and oranges...)
I am finally getting ready to sell/trade my b6s4. Although these two are very different cars, they both cost the same tight now to lease, as there is a lease program for the E63 -$999/36 with 6K out the door. Since I never put cap cost reduction on leases, it comes out to about $1140+tax on a 93K car. That is about the same price as an RS4 lease. What do you guys think?

I drove both and . . .
Picked the RS4. It replaced my beloved Mercedes CLK55, another AMG car.
The E63 did not look edgy enough for my taste and was less exciting to drive than my CLK55 was. The RS4 made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

i think it does too, although
that 15k isn't like income that's tax free, it's an expense, money paid out. so, in effect, you are only lessening your tax burden(a % of the 15k) but laying out a lot per year for the lease. even so, if i were looking to have an RS4 for 3-4 years, i would probably lease it too...diving Audi resale values and all.

I don't own a business-I am just a car fan. This is not an invetment, far from it
I drove both- and liked them both. Very different. The e63 amazed me with its huge power and soundtrack, but lacked the finesse of the RS4. On the other hand, the RS4 handles like no other sedan. If I bought one, I should be looking for a preowned one anyway, although my dealer said that he might be willing to deal on remaining 07s (he has 2)

basically it is tax-free income (assuming the alternative is purchase of the car for personal use)
sure, it's not like getting a check every month, but if the alternative is purchasing the car for personal use, it's like NOT writing that car payment check every month. plus there's no personal expense for fuel or maintenance.

Re: basically it is tax-free income (assuming the alternative is purchase of the car for personal us
sure, but my point is that the 15k is not realized as 15k, but 15k off tax liability, thus lowering your tax amount by a % of the 15k. in other words, you're not getting 15k back, rather the 15k is offsetting taxes. what would taxes be on 15k, assuming at 35% basis? 5300. that's your savings off taxes to be measured against the addtl 15k paid out for leasing that car.
you're still in the red on that. not that you wouldn't be further in the red on buying it. anyway, as a business vehicle, your way is the only way, i agree.

RS 4 hands down
Much, much better driving dynamics, much lower price and, according to Consumer Reports, far better quality, reliability, durability and dependability than the junk box E63 AMG.
For what it's worth, CR generally surveys 800,000+ vehicle owners per year. That is far more than the far inferior JD Power and Associates and the even more inferior Strategic Vision combined, both of whom often disagree with CR (and look like retards far more often than not because of it).
In 2006, CR surveyed 1,300,000+ vehicle owners, 4-8 times that of JD P&A and SV combined.
All of the above solidly makes choosing the RS 4 over the E63 AMG a no brainer.
