Wheel resurfacing.. or should I just get new wheels?

hey, it's worth coinsidering...
what's caused 2 cracks in what should be very durable OEM wheels. unless you hit something, it should be a non issue.
you can get defective wheels from factory, they can be damaged by overinflation and impacts, AND they CAN be damaged buring tire install. that happens often enough, and with the agonizing tire mounting i have seen described here, chances multiply.
no conspiracy, do you want to find out what could be going wrong or not?

I had 2 repaired from a rear ending/sideswipe last sept. Granted I got 2 new wheels out of it, but kept the old scraped ones. I think if i had left them silver I would be able to tell, but I had them painted black for winter tires, look really nice, can't tell at all. Might be a path to consider. Also ask around, I managed to buy 3 spare used rims on here in really good shape, 2 of them nearly flawless. Better price than dealer by a mile!
