Default "Audi Longevity" Anyone on this board drive a Audi longer than 200K miles??

I dont get it? With all the talk on "cars with 50k being a high milage car" or "never own a Audi without a factory warranty". I bought a new Audi 90 Quattro and drove it over 200K miles without any drama. The only reason I sold the car was, after 10 years my wife wanted a different car and now looking back she wishes she would'nt have sold it. Routine maintenance was the key and we got our money out of the car. I sold it in good shape with over 200k miles on it. Dont be afraid to keep your Audi. To keep a Audi is to love a Audi.

Default Audi 90 was different car in many ways...

much lower tech throughout the car, not a high performance car, so less to go wrong. I don't think that's a good analogy.

Default Sure its less tech, its older. I also towed 2 seadoo's often with it. It earned its keep.

The Audi was my everyday car and my 911 was the garage queen.

Default Well, 200k is is admirable on any car...

I wasn't trying to downplay it, but just offer some thoughts about why the newer models may need more service to keep them going...all the newer technical goodies and all.

its all relative, 10 years from now these cars won't be thought of as high tech either
