"Auto" in light switch blinking?

Default "Auto" in light switch blinking?
When I leave the light switch in "Auto", at times the light behind the text (, i.e. the illumination of the "Auto" text) flashes slowly. Anybody have any idea why?
This is NOT the light sensor issue and there are no warning lights in the cluster (the "intermittent ground" issue)

Default Mine was replaced under warranty for that
My headlight switch developed that 'problem'. It would intermittently flash so was replaced by the dealer.
