Default "Engine Check" flashing, cars is like shaking.........
Last Night my friends and i were driving in Downtown S.F., then suddenly the engine check light started blinking, and the car was trembling at stop. i called audi road side assistance and they suggested either i drive home slowly or have it towed right away. i decided to drive home and take care of it today. My s4 was running well before and its milege is now approaching 5000 miles. Anybody has any idea?

Default Strangely, there was no clicking sound, and the car was still drivable,
this wierd shaking only occurs in low speed or at stop

Default is it a common problem in all VW/Audi cars?
Because my friend's Jetta 1.8T also had a ignition coil failure a while ago

i thought coil packs were not a problem with the V8 audis

nope. My A6 4.2 has had coil pack failures.

Default Just wnt through this at 404 miles
It turned out to be coil pack failure to #8 cyl.
