"New" S4 with 430 miles...need advice
#16
The fact it has the tip does help indemnify the engine from stress.
You have to drive in the "Sport " mode in order to get to red line.
I personally would expect a 5% discount..
I would probably wait for a "new to my spec... I waited from late April till the 16th of Sept to get mine-- it had 7 miles on it.
I love it and have 0 problems..
A wonderful car, just beautiful.

Re: Which dealership, in Michigan?
Not to sound like an *** but i saw the moro blue S4 they had there...it had a huge dent in the front pass door... it came in about 3 weeks ago... they said it was a sold car.. it was getting detailed. i went up and sat in it. so maybe its yours and they sent it out to get it fixed.

You are an idiot, as usual.
Don't you know that if you redline the car ALL THE WAY HOME FROM THE DEALERSHIP you will gain an extra 30-40 hp? Yeah, it's true. It's like an Easter Egg that Audi engineers put in the engine design. Break-in is rubbish, man. Just floor it and go, baby. I'm gonna take my next new car straight to the track and see if I can fool the rev-limiter! Wooo Wooooooooo!

Ask for 2k off....
and call it a day. To be honest, its harder to abuse a tip then it is a stick. I would however suggest having a second mechanic look at it. But get them to take 2k off, its the least they can do.

I look forward to the article..
Seriously, like I said, no one has ever explained it beyond the 'it has to be done to ensure blah blahblah'. I've heard it argued on both sides but no one has ever explained what happens mechanically other than 'the rings need to seat', which I've had some very smart car guys tell me happens pretty well at the factory.
I'm not trying to be combative, just objective.
