0-60 time comparison B5 S4, B6 S4
I have a G2 Passport and before I traded I did some runs and got a best time of 5.65 sec (tip). I just did some runs under comparable circumstances temp road etc. and the best run was 5.8.
I was not disappointed -- I feel the mechanicals will loosen up. The car has just under 1500 miles on it. I think it was as I suspected it would be - My 2000 B5 S4 had the APR stage II.
Thought you'd like to know.
Oh yes the 0- 30 was 1.88

Yes on the Turbo - Not on the B6. turned off ESP
I tried it both ways -- the ESP made a big difference... It really bogged down the start - at one point shuting down the motor - I couldn't figure out what had happened till I thought for a moment.
I made 6 runs both times - the wind was calm, temp in the 50's.

OK will try on next outing.. Thanks
The "Sport" mode make a real difference. I thought it jumped at the start real well and held right to 7K - The new "tip" is a fast "hard shift" not like the 5 speed.
It also holds in the gear if you back off.

Thanks Ron........I think all of the B6 posters are with you.....Speed isn't everything!!!.....
who cares if the old ones are faster.........the new ones BOTH WEIGH a lot more and have BETTER SEATS and are therefore, superior.
Plus you've gotta love the AUTO tranny.....who would ever consider a manual????
