Default 18" or 19" wheels in the Northeast

I know this has been talked about before but I'm just about to purchase the B7 rs4 wheels but can't decide if I should get 18" or 19"? I live in the Boston area but mostly highway driving. I want to go with the 19" but people are telling me I'm crazy and I should stick to the 18" Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Default Nothing crazy about 19", though they're not for all season use...

I would keep the 18inchers and put snows on them for the winter and get the 19's for fair weather.

Default 19" will give that much harsher ride...and carve up tires...very...

little sidewall makes for super stiff compound which puts dramatically increased stress forces onto tread. So, if frequent tire replacement at high $'s concerns you, you may want to pass on the 19's.

I went with the 19's because I love the way they look. You just have to be more consciencious.

Default i have been going thru this mental debate as well. i decided with 18" for practicality purposes.

i have bent a good amount of wheels. i do not want to go thru that again. it just gets expensive after a few needs replacements. i also do not recommend repairing bent wheels since once a wheel gets bent, that section of the wheel will become weaker since the entire metal composition has changed when heat and pressure is used to repair it....my 2 cents.

I say 19's with 245's and you will be okay!

Default 245 was my other option. some people have rubbing issues with this on 19".

i was also thinking of getting coilovers. would the drop and the 245 cause any rubbing? i was told that one solution was to remove one of the large clips in the wheel well.

do you think the 245's will rub on a stock suspension?

Default Well, I am running 245 Falken ST115's which run a little narrow (i think). .

I have had no rubbing problems with the stock suspension, and have plenty of room. I think I could lower with no problems either.
