Has anyone put Audi tire pressure monitoring sensors on after-market wheels of their B7 S4 ???

Default Have them on my winter rims. When changing to them recently

the system worked fine for about an hour. Then I got the yellow flat tire with the diagonal line through it warning indicating a system malfunction. Back to the dealer, reset the error code and everything seemed to work for the next half hour when the warning came up again. What a PITA !!
I just can't afford to spend endless hours at the dealer waiting for this to be fixed. Hopefully when the reflash my engine software next month, they'll fix this as well.
Bottom line, the sensors are expensive and prone to errors from my experience.

Default Try this hack.....

Use the menu on the info center, and go to Set, then Tyre Pressure, then check "Wheel Change". This will give you about a 20-30 minute reprieve from the annoying flat tire symbol. When it reappears, repeat the process. Not perfect, but it saved me 400 bucks on the stupid sensors
