2005 S4 B6 Avant versus S4 B5 Avant 2001.5 Nogoro modified
I have a number of questions still remaining after searching both S4 forums.
1) What is the best deal anyone has seen on a new B6 2005 S4 Avant? Any trunk money out there? My local Albuquerque Audi sales manger offered $3500 off sticker in the first sentence and he is a tight wad, so it makes me wonder about specials out there on remaining B6 avants. I do not like the new grill, so a B6 would be great.
2) I have an RS6 I am going to trade on either a new B6 Avant or a used B5 wtih K04 turbos, etc., almost stage three, just missing RS4 injectors to be true stage III according to owner. He wants at least $25K, maybe more with 61K miles (we are talking about a trade with my car around $70K).
3) Any thoughts about depreciation in one year on both cars assuming 20,000 miles per year? I figure both cars will drop about $10,000. Any thoughts about this?
I live at 6000 feet and drive aften over 9000 feet. Any thoughts about effective power on the two?
4) And, finally, overall thoughts about fun factor versus cost of a new 2005 at maybe $47K versus the used 2001.5 at $25K? The used car is in excellent shape and has the alcantara inserts that are very attractive.

What don't you like about your RS6 to make you trade it for a B6 S-4 or consider a B5 KO'd stg III
Is the RS6 just not a fun car? Personal reasons? Too expensive? Trouble with the car? etc.?

Combination of too small and too many miles...
Turns out I really need a station wagon and I am still uncertain whether it is worthwhile to mod my AR. I think it will then be a modded porky car.
Also, I drive 20K-35K miles a year and in 8 months of RS6 ownership I have 23K miles on the car. It is incredible, no problems at all. If I could get an RS4 or RS6 Avant I would do it, though there is still the issues of tearing through a very expensive car with a lot of miles.

What you really need is 2 cars. One to put mileage on and one to use for fun!
How about an A3 to put mileage on. (I hear that they are pretty nice) and an S4 Avant for fun and utility?
