Default Wouldn't do it ...

Audi lease rates, especially on the S4 are very high. There are other posts on the board that detail money factors, residuals, etc., but the monthly fees are out of sight - usually about $250 above comparably priced BMWs. I just bought an '08 S4 and didn't even investigate leases since my dealer told me it would be >$750/month! My wife's 328xi (MSRP $44,500) cost $509/month with $1500 down. Very different MFs and residuals.

Default $57,100 MSRP (loaded '08 tip), $0 down, .00225 MF, 48mo, 12k/yr = $838/month.

residual is $25,695 in this particular example. add $100/mo for a 36 month lease.

this is directly from leasecompare.com...you can get some other quotes there, if you have a particular vehicle/options in mind.

Default of course the payment is going to be more than a car which costs $10,000 less.

look at my example above, and compare it to this:

'08 BMW 550i, MSRP $58,500, $0 down, MF .00225, 48mo, 12k/yr = $960/month! this is the same lender I used in the S4 quote above, BTW.

as i've said before, if you really want to compare apples vs. apples, the S4 should be compared to the 550i....price-wise and equipment-wise.

Can't disagree - the 3 series leases are very aggressive

You must have buyer's remorse though. I stopped reading the BMW forums thirty seconds after making the switch from BMW to Audi... I never looked back.

I'm amazed at how low the residual is on our cars. I would have thought that they would hold 50% of their value in 4 years.
