20500 miles, Check engine light, and now mpg seems lower...
I went to Tampa for the weekend, and on my way back the CEL turned on. I became very worried, especially since there were about 150 miles to go until I reached my house, but decided to keep on going.
I just had the 25k mile service last week, car now has 20500 miles. Yes, service was done ahead of time due to the first service being done too soon (first owner did it).
What should I do? All of a sudden it seems the car is drinking a lot more gas than usual.

Sounds suspiciously similar to the 2181 CEL for which there is a TSB.
If the car runs seemingly normal other than your CEL and your lower gas mileage, check to see if the temp gauge is taking longer than usual to reach middle. If it is, you almost certainly have the 2181 CEL issue. I had it with my '05 sedan. I saw the symptoms you describe plus the long warm-up time. Fix takes about one hour once the part arrives.
