6sp folks with reverse problems, did it start with it was hard, almost imposible to
get into reverse ? The previous 2 times I tried reverse it would not go into reverse, other gears are fine. I just got it into reverse but it took a lot of work.
Car just turned 400 miles.

So after much effort got mine in reverse, and seems to go in now, with my
luck will takw it to the dealer and it will not exhibit the same problems. Was your problem "spotty" that is sometimes it would not go as you feel like you have to break the shifter in half in order to put it in there andother times it just works ?

Mine was fine one minute. The next it would no go into reverse at all. I guess I didn't try to push it in with everything I had, but I pushed hard enough and it wouldn't go. Tried rolling the car forward a few inches, tried putting in other forward gears then back to reverse. No dice. Car has been at the dealer for 2 weeks now. New transmission being flown over from Germany should be here Monday. Might be back on the road mid-week. A6 2.7T loaner got rear-ended Friday night by SWF not paying any attention. Everyone okay, but now driving Ford Escape rental (yuk!!!). Can't wait to get S4 back. Still only 300 miles after 3 weeks. Can't put many miles on while it's in the shop.....
