Default it depends...there is a fine line between a bubbled sidewall and a bent rim or blowout

and the larger the wheelw the greater chance for the latter

Default I'm talking about a different thing...bubble in sidewal means air escaping...

between inner casing and sidewall rubber. It's not the kind of thing that's caused by hitting potholes, but indicates a material defect in the manufacturing process.

If everytime people hit a pothole in their cars a tire sidewall bubbled, there would be millions of incidences. There aren't.

Like I said, I have had a couple bubbled sidewalls in the past without ever hitting squat. Likewise, many times I have hit major potholes without any problem developing in sidewall. More worried about alignment after something like that.

Default That's just it! I don't remember hitting a pothole or anything that would..

have been so traumatic. I spent some time cleaning the car Wed afternoon, and it wasn't there when I put the tire dressing on. The next day there it was, although it isn't large, it is noticeable.

Yes, Armorall has a better chance of causing a sidewall bubble than a pothole : )
