Similar spots on mine, I'm in CO too...

However, my aluminum mirrors are really the aluminum-colored plastic used on more recent B6 S4s (my build date was 1/04) so I'm not sure if we have the same issue or not...

I'm in the Springs. 2/04 build with al mirrors. I'll let you know I find out.
