Default Anyone here run at Buttonwillow (near Bakersfield, CA)?

If I wait until the Audi club's next track event, its November at Sears Pt....since the S4 turned 1000 today, I'd like to get some track time sooner than that. What sort of place is Buttonwillow?

Default Buttonwillow is a great track

It has an east and a west loop but they always get combined. Overall the track is highly configurable and can be run both CCW and CW. It's not as high speed as say Willow Springs. But there's a lot less chance to damage your car at this track if you go off roading IMO. Check out the website for the track. Configuration 13 CW and CCW used to be pretty common.

Default SoCal...but I've done more events with NorCal group...

I live in Granada Hills. Haven't really gotten into the "meet and drive" events the SoCal chapter does. Really prefer track events.

Default agree. Buttonwillow is a blast. I did see some guy in an M3 lose it on Lost Hills and roll, but

overall i've always felt pretty safe on Buttonwillow. lots of dirt to run off onto
