Default Anyone here switch to SYN motor oil before 5000 miles dealer change?
if so, why, any problems, Mobil 1 0w20 or 5w-30?

Default I've had motul 8100 in my engine since it's first breath...
that's the 2nd engine.

Default Switched at one week and ~ 500 miles ...
to Mobil 1 5w-30. No problems, and I'm now using M1 0w-40.

Default I did my first oil change at 2,500 Miles
with Mobil 1 Synthetic

Switched to Mobil 1 Syn 0W-40 at 2100 miles...

Default mobil 1 0w-40..no problems, no issues. good idea to do it around 1000-1500 miles. cleans any metal
shavings from break in. for the most part there souldn't be much break in as far as the rings etc ag=fter 500-1000 miles.
