like halfway down. just annoying to drive hour and a half. but I guess you have to pay to the price for driving back from DC to westchester in under 3 hours...

I believe he's right due to the fact they don't do points in NY IIRC.
I live on the NJ/NY border and got pulled over in NY last year. Paid a fine, but no points. Trooper said that NY doesn't have a point system. You should verify, and possibly start looking for a lawyer depending on the ramifications.

Yeah that's what i've been hearing....
the only cops I know to use it are NJ state troopers for their "movable" radar and my local ****ty *** broke cops. I leave it on. I like to decide for myself.

What was reckless about your driving?
If it was just that you were doing 55 over and if he was tailing you at the same speed then he was driving recklessly too. Are cops allowed to engage in reckless driving just to hand over a ticket?
Good luck!

I bet most of the X band alarms were from portable electric traffic signs along the side of the road
They are spewing microwaves constantly, whether they are operational or not! I guess they figure that if you false alarm on them so often, you will eventually ignore a real radar alarm.

This is true...
Been there myself. Just pay the fine and be done with it.
BTW - It seems you cannot make a left anywhere in the damn state of NJ - both of my tickets were for illegal left turns....

Re: Anyone from NJ?
Hey Sorry you got caught. I am from NY. I got a 103in a 65 zone in NJ a few years ago. There is no reciprocity between NY nad NJ so long as it is not a DWI or and unpaid fine. As long as you show up at your court date and receive a judgement it will not show up on your NY State License or insurance.
