Default Anyone see the numbers Road and Track got off of their "broken in" B6 S4?

They got a 12.9 quarter at 109.8 miles an hour...and these guys are notorious for being a bit slow when it comes to performance numbers.

Interesting.

Default September 2005 issue of Road and Track, under Road Test Summary.....

I believe they got the numbers from the August issue, as part of their Road Test Update.

I uploaded a scan of the road test summary page, but it got resized and is worthless. I dont have any way of hosting the original scan.

Default NP...that scan is only the summary..and it looks like they included

the new quarter mile time in with old perf numbers, since in the column next to the quarter mile, you can see that it did 100 in 13.4. That makes no sense.

I only brought it up since the new quarter time was done last month, separate of the original tests that they did.

Guess you have to take everything you read in mags with a grain of salt.

Default It's Wrong

I hope you also noticed that the 0-100 time is LONGER than 12.9 seconds (I think it said 13.7?) I hate to say it but it is physically impossible to reach 109 mph before you hit 100 mph, therefore something is bogus. It looks to me like these magazines are just pulling numbers out of their ***.

Default I would say I am skeptical (I am) but don't view it as a biased feeling.

I'd be very happy if one of you posted an actual 12.9 timeslip.

Otherwise though, I think it's a typo.
