Anyone see the numbers Road and Track got off of their "broken in" B6 S4?

After my test drives in the G35 (two long ones each in the manual and the automatic), I just couldn't understand what, if anything, people see in that car. I really liked the look of it going in and the price is nice, but after driving it there was no way I was buying. Anyone who thinks that's a better car in any fashion than a 330 is loony. In fact, I thought the TL was light years better than the G35, save for the damn FWD and the suspension pogoing over certain swales. Even with those decrements, I would have taken the TL over the Nissan. And at that time, the TL was fast than the G35. Not much, but it FELT much faster. I was shocked at how slow the G35 felt. I'm sure it's 0-60 times were as good as they say, but my 330 Coupe felt much faster, even though it was supposedly a tick slower 0-60.
I still think the G35 looks pretty nice, but it is a cheapo piece o'ca ca and as a result it has a price advantage over the BMWs and Audis.

That Infiniti is not on par with BMW at all in any means.
But as far as performance, I prefered the g35 sedan over 330i sedan. In my opinion 330i at the time had an engine that seemed to be overworking to get the performance measures, meanwhile g35 had right there all the time performance from the engine. As I also recall the Nissan V6 has been chosen the best v6 engine for the last many years, so I guess it really is a great engine considering there are so many manufacturers having v6 engines.
I spent considerable time in 330i to get an understanding of it, and that I thought the g35 engine seemed a better engine than 330i engine. (I usually get 330i sedans for loaners from my BMW dealer).

I owned a 96 Nissan Maxima (I can't believe I am admitting this) and yes, it had a terrific motor. Also a horrible manual transmission and general terrible quality overall. The day I traded that in was one of the happiest days of my life. The G35 reminded me a lot of the Maxima, though I didn't think the engine was near as smooth in the G35. Of all the cars I test drove at the same time as the G35, it was the one I liked the least and the only one I concluded that I could not live with regardless of price. I even liked the ovloV better, which is not glowing praise for any car.

According to the data, it takes 13.4 seconds to reach 100mph, but we can cover a 1/4 in only 12.9 seconds at which time we are going 109.8 mph through the trap. It must be that electronic throttle, letting us reach 109.8 mph in 12.9 seconds, then slowing us down to 100 by 13.4, right?? Or maybe those magazine editors??
