THoughts? Tirerack is out of the LM-25s. Any other sites have them?

Default Yes.

I use the Pirellis. Far better dry performance than Blizzaks. Snow/ice performance is excellent, in the limited time mine have seen such conditions.

I just put the Pirelli Winter 240 SnowSport tires on my S4 with Mille Miglia Action rims. It is supposed to be very icy tomorrow morning in NYC and I will see how well they perform. So far the ride on dry pavement is very satisfactory.

Default 4th winter on the Pirelli 210 Snowsport on an S8 ...

The Pirelli 210 is the H-rated version of the V-rated 240.

I agree with JT. Snow performance in the hills of SW Pennsylvania is outstanding, the S8 becomes a snowplow before it loses traction. The Bridgestone Blizzak or Dunlop M3 might be marginally better on ice, but dry/wet performance of the Pirelli is pretty good considering the heavily siped tread. Treadlife is also excellent, I'll probably get a 5th winter out of the first set.

They're stock on Porsches purchased in cold climates.

Default Yup, in 18 on the stock Avuses.

Have only had them on for a week. They seem good - a little quieter than the contis (no surprise, based on tire compound) and decent grip for a winter tire, though I haven't been hammering on them (yet!).

Default I've never heard of any Porsche coming with winter tires stock...

Yes, they're the tires on Porsche's recommended snow tire list, but as far as I know none come with them as a stock tire...

Default I have them on 18" tirerack RS4 reps, and have nothing but good things to say about them

Great all-around winter tire. Better road tire than the LM-22 (dunno if the 25 is much improved), and is nearly as good in the snow. With quattro, my S4 was unstoppable, even in the deep stuff. Highly recommended.
