Default audi owners/future owners rejoice

just to add to the controversy over the price of the new S4, it's been announced that audi/VW are just behind Land Rover as the vehicles that require the most UNSCHEDULED visits to the dealer for repairs
now what is that extra money buying???? not good original parts......

Default I've owned 7 different Audis since 1984 and I have no complaints

My 89 200 turbo quattro needed a transmission and I've had a few miscellaneous electrical problems, but considering the complexity of the cars, my experiences have been just fine. Maybe problems that owners of other makes just live with, Audi owners don't because of higher expectations due to the superior design and engineering of Audis.

I would rather own the car, my parents have always been that way, and so have I. Whats the deal with premier purchase?

Default Wealth is their defense

Ppl with large yearly income (quarter or half a million dollars income) or generational wealth don't have to worry about quality problems coming from BMW, Mercedes, Audi..etc. They just buy another one or just pay the $10,000 that it takes to fix the damn problem.

I mean if you are going to buy these highly priced premium Euro touring cars, then you can expect to "Pay and pay again!"

But for a young guy like myself who is just starting out in life, I need a car that can be reliable and get me to work. Maybe when I'm 55 or 60 i'll be able to dable in a fine Euro Touring machine, but for now, the Japanese alternative is a economical choice for myself!

The coil pack issue is to blame for a lot of low reliability ratings for VW/Audi.

With a little luck and hard work, you will be able to afford one of these sooner than you think.

Default Trust me, if you want a new car every 3-4 years, you're doing nothing but pouring money into

a big, black hole buying the cars. Premier purchase is for fence-straddlers who can't decide between two equally better, but distinctly different choices.
