I have a REALLY annoying rattle coming from where the seat belt mounts on the driver's side B pillar. Whenever I drive over slightly rough road surfaces it drives me nuts.
It sounds like something inside the seat belt mechanism is loose and it just rattles about. Anyone else have this or know of a fix?

Sounds like your talking about the adjustable height mechanism. There are several springs etc.. in there that can become dislodged and rattle. If the car has CPO warranty tell them it's binding (rattle not covered). If your not comfortable removing etc...sometimes just keeping it in the lowest or highest setting will help. Good Luck!

I'd be happy to have a go at fixing it myself if it's not too tricky. As long as I don't have to mess with the airbags or seatbelt pre-tensioners.
I have the Bentley CD so maybe I take a look this weekend.
I'm reasonably familiar with removing trim, I installed a CD changer harness from the head unit to the trunk for my PhatBox which involved removing a lot of trim!
Have you removed the B pillar trim?

Soooo many times. When I do my brain is on auto pilot at work so I'm not sure I remember where every fastener is until I start working. May need to remove the a-pillar and upper rear to access t-25 fasteners fore and aft at the top of b-pillar, or a t-25 under the little plastic aibag badge. Sorry, been out of the shop for a while. Pretty self explanitory though.
