Can someone tell me exactly what you can do (now) to get the car moving faster/better?
I know that sway bars help, but does exhaust really do much?

Suspension & brakes, wheels/tires are the key to 'better' balance on the track.
For the street none of this is necessary except for aesthetics and winning the all essential pi$$ing contest.![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Remember, this is an almost 2-ton Euro performance sedan/wagon.

but no simple bolt on will make your car uberfast, weight reduction will help if you can shave off plenty of lbs, fullback and chip will give some added hp but not a whole lot. MTM supercharger is out but thats if you want to spend min $20K. NOS can be an option too.

There will always be cars out there with more horsepower and faster acceleration times. In my opinion, you're fighting a losing battle there because there's always something better around the corner.
By far the fastest mod with the most bang for the buck is a good Driver's School. You may already be an Audi Club North America (ACNA) member. If not, you should be. They offer some great discounts on track events. You might say you don't want to track your car but you wouldn't believe the driver skills you walk away with.

Personally, I'm pretty satisfied with the S4's 340 horses. The power is definitely there but the car could be a lot faster if it handled better. So what am I doing to accomplish this?
Thanks to our good friends at Stasis Engineering, I'm creating a much meaner S4 by installing the following:
1. Stasis high-bias Torsen center diff
2. Stasis rear LSD
3. H-sport rear sway
4. Stasis Motorsports Suspension (Ohlins dampers + Hyperco springs)
At this point, I have everything installed but suspension and all I can say is WOW! The difference is amazing! Much less understeer, better turn-in, faster transitions. I can only imagine the quantum leap once the suspension is finally finished.
I realize that these upgraded performance parts aren't cheap but I decided that if I was going to hang on to the S4 for a while. Why not make it drive and feel like a new car? It was certainly cheaper than trading for a brand new car.
It is definitely not the same car I bought. It has a much more taut, responsive, and athletic character to it. It's kind of weird but the car feels familiar and new at the same time. I can see enjoying it for many more years.
Anyway, I'll post more with pics once I finish the suspension install. It's slow going but doing it DIY is great because I'm learning a lot more about the car (and the engineering underneath it).
Good luck with your S4. Check out parts at Stasis or give them a call. They have been really great to work with.

While better handling may be more obvious on the track, it certainly benefits the car around town.
Personally, I can't believe the difference in the way my S4 drives now. It should have done this from the factory IMHO. I feel like the gap between my S4 and some M3s I've driven has decidedly narrowed. The Torsen mod and rear sway alone made the S4 feel more like a RWD car by allowing more push from the rear, better rotation and less understeer.
Don't get me wrong, I know this car will never be a Lotus Elise. I don't see anything wrong with making it a bit more athletic than it already is, however.
I'm not trying to start a fight, I guess I'm just not part of the camp that's into solely aesthetic mods for the car.

our cars' capability. Many mod cars to mod them and why I say it doesn't mean much on the street. You know it, I know it, but the average nub wouldn't know it or appreciate it
