B6S4 Questions??
1)What causes the throttle delay in the b6 s4??
2)What is easier on your clutch, riding it for a second to make a smooth transition or letting it out quickly even if its a little jerky???

slipping the clutch to cause a smoother feel will cause friction and heat...
thereby reducing clutch life. It's fine to do it a little for comfort but the more you do it the more you cause heat and friction.
The throttle delay is caused by crappy drive by wire . Delay in revs dropping and rising is from a heavy flywheel and also DBW.

Ok, but what is best for clutch?
I am scared to "drop" the clutch and produce that jerky feeling. Are my concerned unfounded? just natural reaction?
How do I take care of my clutch? I want it to last.

It would be technically better on the clutch therefore, not to slip it...
and of course also not to do 5000rpm sidestepping of the clutch, but yeah...to let it out sharply or "smartly" if you will. Now, does this cause greater strain on things like engine mounts and other drivetrain components? Probably. So I guess you just try and even things out. Which is to say, not slipping the clutch to much and not trying to put too much shock on the drivetrain. FWIW, clutches seem to fail a lot quicker than we have ever seen motor mount, axle, diff, driveshaft failures.
