B7: Poor gas mileage compared to the B6?

A BMW M3 or M-B C55 gets the same mpg results, so unless they make a hybrid, the mileage won't improve anytime soon. It isn't really fair to knock Audi on MPG results for a V8 sport sedan. That kind of power doesn't come for free.
Personally, I would have to stretch financially to afford an S4, and want to, but with the price of gas steadily rising, an S-line with a chipped 2.0T seems much more likely for me. I'd have to live with turbo lag, less power, and I would miss that beautiful V8 sound, so it's a tough decision...

depending upon how heavy my foot is. I can't seem to get more than 15-16 in the S4 city even when babying it, and have never gotten more than 20 on the highway.

regardless of the gas mileage debate. there is a big difference in gas consumption between a 3,200 lb RWD car and a 3,800-3,900 lb AWD car.
