Btw...we went with this one over the foam because we thought our dog might tear the foam one up
It's an Avant, so the dog gets to ride back there and we thought her nails might tear up the cheaper foam one. This one is like textured plastisized rubber or something. More plastic feeling than anything.

There are cut outs for the hooks - i.e. you have to cut them out
I want it more to keep crap from getting in the carpet (think dog at beach, dog in back of Avant), so I didn't cut out the cut outs.
The mat has about a 1.5 inch liner that runs the length around so you could throw sandy dogs, wet snowboard boots, bags of topsoil etc. in there.
I'll post pictures of it to this thread tomorrow when there's some sunlight.

Badges - Can be place in bottom right of mat. There's a recessed spot for them, but it seems like you'd have to be careful not to drag something and catch an edge of the badge.
