Bluetooth compatibility

Almost all Symbian OS phones do not work. Not all Nokias run Symbian...
therefore, some Nokias will work with Audi OEM BT. (This sounds like a logic exercise!) My Nokia does, and so do several others. The Symbian Nokias, Nxx, Exx, etc. will not. See my post below with a link to a list of phones that work.

Need some more info about your situation before proffering any suggestions
What kind of phone, carrier, firmware? Apparently, many of these variables impact how easily the BT connection is made. GSM phones seem to pair up the easiest, but Symbian OS phones mostly do not. I have found posts referencing a particular BT profile that is built into the phone being required before the pairing occurs successfully. I don't work for a phone company but I'd be happy to PM suggestions. Also see my post above with the link to the NavPlus.us thread re: phones that work.
Cheers!

HTC TyTN II and SE K610i 100% compatible, older Nokias like ...
6310 are also 100% compatible but the newer ones like N70, N95 don't work properly.
As said already it's caused by Symbian OS issues - which Nokia won't admit to. So as an ex-Nokia employee I now won't buy a Nokia phone...

LG VX8500 (aka chocolate) with Verizon
1)should my phonebook carry to the car?
2)it was pairing up fine 2 days ago and yesterday it stopped doing it automatically. I haven't messed with it yet to figure it out (my wife is bogarting the car).

The LG Chocolate is mentioned as having only partial functionality.
Some phones only work hands free but have varying degrees of being able to transfer call lists and contacts. Yours sounds like it's one of those.<ul><li><a href="http://www.navplus.us/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1196&postdays=0&postorder= asc&highlight=compatible+phones&start=285" >click here</a></li></ul>
