Default Call a different body shop...

Find another reputable body shop in your area that does a lot of work on European cars. Call them and ask them to give you an estimate on how long it would take to order a door.

Normally there is stock located in the US that a shop can order form. Usually takes a couple of days. If that stock is out, they do need to order one from the old country...

Default I had one replaced on my A6...

I can't remember how much a door was but only the shell was replaced on mine. Do you need the entire door, internals and trim too?

Default I hope you are close...

because the body work alone on my current door to fix the ultra-crappy bondo work is well over $300.

Not sure if we are talking the same thing. To me the skins are just the outside panel of the door. I would doubt they sell that at all. The shell would be the entire door metal minus the trim, glass, electrical and mechanical.
