C&D seems to have a new technique/policy that is more aggressive with its numbers...
IS350 won't beat the S4 0-60, 1/4, slalom or track. It is a Lexus, which follows the Japanese definition of quality (fewer problems) rather than the european (more fun/engaging).
It looks like a nice car, just not an S4 competitor.
Oh, an example, C&D posted 4.4 for an Elise and 4.3 for an SLK55, both slight exaggerations in my book.

no word on an AWD GS430, but I think they are waiting to bring out their new V8 first
still rumors on what it will be, but dad says a slightly bigger 4.6L GS460, plus the hybrid GS450h.
I'd like the GS300 to turn into the GS350 with the new IS engine, but we'll see on that.

Lexus only claims 5.9 to 60. Even being conservative, I can't see it being almost a second quicker.
Time will tell, I guess.
FWIW, does it really matter if yet another car is quicker than the S? I didn't buy it because it was the ultimate. I bought it because I really liked it. Still do

all this hate for Lexus here. : (
Kind of small minded, IMO. Especially if you haven't even driven the car yet.
Until it was clear that the IS350 was going to be auto only I was on the wait list for one.
I love my S4 but dayum fellas... there *are* other good cars out there.
If the IS460 ever comes to market I'm definitely going to give it a look.
