Default Chrome? Brushed Aluminum? High Polish?

Also how is Arnie doing out there. Ready to terminate your car taxes?

Painted silver, with brushed lip always looks very clean.

Agree ... not a fan of full polished, though that seems to be most popular.

Default i'm in boston bro :-)

thankfully, hre does not do chrome. chrome is bad since it adds a lot of weight.

i have brushed aluminum with clearcoat on top, and i recommend it without reservation. in person, it is both eye-catching and elegant (unlike high-polish, which i think is just too much). also, in low-light situations, the rims almost glow (or so i'm told).

a painted center (including silver) is always nice, but i think the brushed aluminum blows it away ... it's just stunning.

Default no such thing as a brushed lip ...

the lip is always high-polish, though you can optionally get it clearcoated. i opted to not clearcoat the lip because (a) the clearcoat dulls the shine and (b) makes it impossible to repair curb damage yourself.

Cool thats for the suggestions. I am in boston once a month normally (havent been the last two months because work has been nuts + waiting for the car). We should run some time when I get my car (and of course when I am up north :-) )

Default boston (cambridge) wheel fan club member with VAG question for Meem

Hey, I'm in Cambridge. Had a steel grey 02 M3. Just got this--they're clearcoated. Would love to see your brushed aluminum rims in person, as I'm considering getting a set of HRE's with winter tires. BTW, Meem, do you know who has a VAG tool around here who'd be willing to program the car for remote opening and closing of windows?
