Hi Fellow Audi owners
I do hope someone can help or at least give me a lead to help!
I have a 2005 Model S4. The Camshaft adjuster has a solenoid that controls the VVT. My problem is that this solenoid is busted - and I do not want to buy a complete Cam Shaft Adjuster assembly - I just need the solenoid - does someone maybe have one lying in a box or have some advice as to how I can get my hands on one?
I cannot afford to pay $800 for a new Cam Shaft Adjuster Assembly. I would rather set the car alight and claim the insurance ;-)

I have no advice for you other than you bought the wrong car if you cannot afford an $800 repair! Good luck with S4 ownership!!!

I have already spent $4000 on a new waterpump - head gaskets valve stem seals and all the rest needed to be able to fix the blown headl. This is the most unreliable piece of **** car I have ever owned - I am not even talking about my A6 that has a shot tiptronic gearbox that is already costing me $3000 and stil counting - thats 2 strikes - including my first AUDI 500SEL that I owned with a broken Aircon and a broken power steering pump - 2 things that to the day Audi cannot build reliably - I can assure you my next car will be built in Japan that's for sure. The price of the parts is one thing but the total lack of reliability and general of if you cant afford it dont buy it does not go down well so in my worl and every one else I meet the gospel is that Audi is the worst piece of crap car that you can ever waste money on i would rather buy a TRABANT out of russia before Audi ever see me again.
What a fcking joke - you cannot buy the solenoid seperately - ghfpp....
