But they aren't designing cars like they used to.
BMW's used to look like BMW's. You could look through the industry and you didn't see BMW borrowing from other companies, style wise.
All of their new models borrow from other models already in production and have been successful. Granted they are in the business to sell cars. But dammit they used to set the trends, not follow them for the sake of sales!
They will always be BMW on the performance side. But part of their sex appeal was the way they designed cars. They didn't sell out the "BMW look" for the sake of sales. Their new management has changed that philosophy and it's a disappointment.
