Anyone know if there is anyway to modify the tiptronic shifter so that forward downshifts and back upshifts instead of the standard Audi setup? This seems more logical/intuitive to me than the way Audi has implemented it. Coming from a BMW, I'm having trouble getting used to it as well.

I guess that's what they are thinking, but the counter argument is that when you are accelerating, inertia pulls you back and the converse holds for decelerating. The shift should follow the same logic. If I want to go faster forward, I usually downshift anyway ![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
It would be nice if there was a simple way to switch to taste.

It makes more sense... move forward to go faster.
But of course it conflicts with the habit of people who learn how to drive automatic first. In an automatic, you shift down to go forward, which is actually counter intuitive. If you ask people who don't usually drive an automatic which way he or she prefer, most will say forward+ / backward -
This shift backwards to go forward setup is universal so I think it's a matter of time before Audi will switch as well. Not that it matter to me... since I would never buy a tiptronic anyway :P
