Does the CEL blink before it goes solid? Sounds like coilpacks.

Read the code using an ODB2 scan tool. Post the results, and people on this forum can be of more help. If u don't have a scan tool, I recommend getting one they are less than $100. If u don't want to spend the money than go to ur local Autozone and have them read it

Default Man, same problem with me today too!

Was about to hop on the freeway when the CEL started blinking. I pulled over and tried to turn off the car and turn it back on. CEL still came back on. Car was idling slightly (and I do mean slightly) rough. When in 1st, car was louder and rougher. Pulled into parking lot, called AAA and towed it to the dealer.

I'm suspecting coil packs at this point. Car is at 100,842. Funny how just the other day I said the car was great at 100K with no problems! Just my luck, eh?

Got the letter from AoA about ignition coil replacement. Diagnosis and replacement of ignition coils is free if your VIN is in the range.

Good luck with yours! I will find out about my car tomorrow.

Coil packs for sure. There is a recall for the coil packs, so get your car to the dealer and have them replaced for free.

yea. sry havent posted but im screwed.... there is a small score in cylinder 6 which is where my oil problem was coming from and it needs to ethier be rebuilt or audi said the only way they would be able to fix it is by replacing both the short and the long block which i got priced at more then i paid for the car, and that was without labor..... but the good news is the dealership that sold me the car a lil over 30days ago has offered to pay me my money back minus the sales tax. ill keep u posted on what happens... i rather them just fix the engine and give me the car back cause i loved the s4 the 30 some odd days i owned it.
