Default check engine light, how important is this...

so I got my first check engine light soon after I got my hyperflow installed 1 1/2 years ago. I vag'ed and saw that the engine was running lean. I cleared it and it didn't come back for couple months. Then it came up again, took it to the dealer, they said no problem. I also upgraded to the new hyperflow so that was essentially re-installing it and to check for leaks. From then on, I've been getting the check engine light every 3-8 months and just got one today, I'm going to clear it and just drive it but how big of a problem is this? Can I just keep clearing it and driving it? Thanks
