Default Cleaning clear shield/clear bra...

How do you clean your clear paint protection film? For example when you are using a detailing spray on the paint for dust or bugs...do you use the same on the clear bra or do you use something else? Like a plastic cleaner? Is using a bug/tar remover safe? Any inputs will be appreciated.

Default lol, let me quote steve775 in case you did not see it there :-p

"I have ProForm, it's the same stuff. You treat the clear bra just as you would your paint. When washing and when waxing, go over it along the edge and minimize moving across the edge with your sponge/waxing pad.

If your headlights are covered, I would not use glass cleaner, but just car wash over it. Use glass cleaner only on glass.

Not sure about the bug cleaner, I'd ask whoever installed it first. The Detailer spray should be ok."

Default You'll probably get more responses if you post this is the detailing forum.

But FWIW my understanding is you treat it just like paint, except do not polish it or use a PC over the top of it. Wax is OK.

Over 5+ years, I just use the same soap and wax I use on the paint
