clutch out? when?
I took my S4 to audi dealer to fix the coilpacks problem, got the CEL and usual rattling. After picking it up, dealer noted that the clutch was slipping and needed to be replaced. When I tried driving it out, it was night and day, clutch was almost completely out.
I've had four manuals and clutch going out, it's typically been gradually deteriorate. Outside of possibly driving on the track or very very hard driving, anyone else had clutch go out all of a sudden without any symptoms? The dealer stated they went to test drive after replacing the coilpacks. There was no indication or signs of clutch issue prior to coil pack failing and taking to dealer. Anyone had issues with clutch going out so fast like?
Someone please tell me it has to make me feel better about a 3,700 quote to fix the clutch from the stealership .

32K miles on it. Second owner. I would have expected up to 60-80K miles on a clutch. Looking at some local audi shops, their quote was almost half of the dealership.
sucko, but still needs to get fixed...
