Default clutch replacement question....

hey everyone, have about 60-65k on my car now and the clutch is starting to slip a little at higher RPM's. been looking around for a replacement clutch and havn't heard the best things about the SPEC clutch and mixed opinions regarding the clutchmasters unit.

A buddy of mine works for a parts wharehouse and said that he could get me a SACHS clutch for my car but I was not aware of a kit from them yet, does anyone happen to know if sachs has come out with a kit for our cars yet?

Otherwise I think i'm just going to go with a new stock clutch/pressure plate/throw out bearing.

Stock is Sachs. See what the specs are on the aftermarket Sachs unit.

really? awesome, thanks, a buddy of mine works for a regional distrubter for sachs and said he could use his discount for me to get me a clutch/pressureplate/throwout bearing for about $150 which is an incredible deal, should the part numbers on the clutch match the one from Audi? just want to make sure its the right one before pulling my trans out

Default I'm not sure how that will work. The OEM components should have a Sachs...

part number and an Audi part no. His units should match up with the Sachs ones but im not sure if they will have the Audi ones on them at that point. If you find out they do and would like to let him make a little cash I would be glad to pay him extra to get me one too. a4at151mph@yahoo.com

cheers! Mike
