Coins behind ashtray
Anyone know how to recover coins that have fallen behind the ashtray? If you have any coins on the ashtray lid, as soon as you flip it open, the coins slide behind and now contribute to an annoying metallic rattle.

Just fixed this problem myself
I had so many coins back there the lid would no loner open/close. It was stuck at a 45 degree angle.
Assuming it's a 6MT, take hold of the trim piece surrounding the shifter. Grab it from the inside, like the leather boot around the shifter, and pull up. Comes straight up, snaps back in place.
From here, you should see the underworkings and the transmission tunnel. This also gives you access to the ashtray.
You need to work out the entire ashtray assembly. The is a small wire for the ashtray light should remove. There are also 2-4 very obvious black screws that you can remove.
Now, I say "can" remove because I removed about 6 of them and realized after I got the ashtray assembly out that they did not contribute much to my efforts, but go ahead.
It is a very tight fight and at one point I about gave up thinking I was going to break something. But, just keep muscling-it and it will give.
Then, shake the hell out of it and get your $$$ back.
The alternative to this I avoided as I thought it would be much more cumbersome. Removing the large trim panel of the center console.
Hope this helps.
