Default Correct tire size.

After reading Tire Rack's recommended tire size for wheel widths, I am thoroughly confused. My car came with 18 x 8 stockers and 235/40-18 tires. Now I changed the wheels but kept the same dimensions 18 x 8. Tire Rack says that for a 18 x 8, the recommended tire size is 225/40-18. Infact, the rim width range for 235/40-18 is 8-9.5, and the recommended rim width is 8.5. Any suggestions would be helpful besides "do what Audi says." Thanks.

just get the 235/40/18. for 19's, get 235/35/19. just make sure they are REIN or XL rated.

Default Bob, you are not using those at this time of year, tell me so? Also I strongly suggest you store...

Them in an area above the freezing point (40 degree F and above) and away from eletrical motors.
